There are several foods that can benefit your oral health and keep your dentist happy:

  • Foods containing Vitamin A, Vitamin D, calcium, potassium or magnesium can help keep teeth and the jaw bone strong, and gums healthy.
  • Foods that benefit teeth and gums include spinach, sweet potatoes, avocados and oily fish such as salmon, tuna and sardines.
  • Herbs and spices such as garlic, ginger and turmeric can help reduce any gum inflammation.

Adding these foods to your diet might just support systemic as well as oral health, which are, of course, connected!
