Prevention
Our priority is to provide comprehensive, preventive and restorative care that achieves proper function, optimal health and maximum tooth retention.
We'll do much more than patch your teeth and remove disease.
By using the latest advances in dentistry such as the florida probe which is the latest device for detecting gum disease.
We also use the intra oral camera to detect decay at the earliest stages.
The recommendations we make will have benefits that can increase the health of your teeth, reduce the need for return visits, remove discomfort and produce a healthy looking smile
Initial Periodontal Assessment
At Kalyani Dental Lounge we realise it is very important to have healthy gums, especially if you are interested in having cosmetic treament, also Clinical studies have now shown that the bacteria which causes Periodontal disease (gum disease) is linked to many diseases including heart disease, uncontollable diabetes and premature birth babies. At your first appointment, Laura will use the florida probe, which is the latest and most accurate device for detecting & recording periodontal disease. Using the florida probe readings a treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs.
Periodontal Maintenance Programme
After initial periodontal therapy, the hygienist will recommend a maintenance programme to maintain your gum health.
Sealants
Plastic coatings are placed on the adult posterior teeth as soon as they have erupted to minimise decay.
Fluoride
We offer in house fluoride treatments which are quick and easy, to manitain strong healthy teeth.
Ozone
Ozone has been used for many years in water purification as it is extremely effective at reducing the level of bacteria and viruses.
New technology uses the direct application of ozone (for 40 seconds only) to the tooth surface to kill the decay-forming bacteria.
Remarkably, once the bacteria are eliminated, the tooth re-mineralises and repairs itself.
Where once the only solution to dental decay was to have it removed using a drill (normally preceded by an injection of local anaesthetic), modern technology has given us a way around this.
